Something you fine folks may have noticed is that there's a book lurking (its a lurky type of book) on my Amazon author page. It's called Pew! Pew!
Pew! Pew! is an comedic space opera anthology I've put together (and have a story in) of novella-length tales of wild and zany space opera. I've read a few of them thus far, and they're a riot. From a story about a poor sap that buys a ship stolen from an arms dealer, to a spaceberg taking out a moon in the Sol System, to a tale of the ultimate B-Team having to fight off an attack from the Hive (as in a giant bee-hive in space) these stories will make you bust a gut.
We have the inestimable Barry Hutchison headlining the anthology. You may have seen his awesome Space Team books about. You should look them up. He's carrying on the legacy of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams all bundled up in one person.
It's up for pre-order at $2.99, but we'll probably also do a release-day sale that I'll notify you about. http://amzn.to/2m0i68U
Also in the anthology are: M. D. Cooper (me ;) ), Felix R. Savage, Chris J. Pike (who is also co-authoring an Aeon 14 book with me), Drew Avera, Rachel Aukes, Zen DiPietro (she runs http://www.womenofbadassery.com and is bad-ass herself), Amy DuBoff, and M. Pax
If you want to meet these fine folks, you can head over to https://www.facebook.com/groups/599815580215540 and meet them. We'll be talking about our stories and posting some snippets there.
My tale in this anthology is actually still set in Aeon 14, and is cannon, but still pretty damn funny if I do say so myself. It's called Delta-Team and features a crew of 4 soldiers of fortune who fly about space in the Van, righting wrongs (mostly) and generally being bad ass. There may even be a montage.
For those of you who may not be down on all the lingooo, a novella is about 80-150 pages in print and generally has just one plot line. There are 9 of them in this anthology, so this is a serious bit of reading.
